The Stuff of Dreams

Kathmandu, Nepal

We are such stuff as dreams are made on,
and our little life Is rounded with a sleep.
William Shakespeare

South Africa

We sleep as much as a third of our lives, so it is clear that we are actually doing some important “work” during that time.  From consolidating memory and learning,  to repairing our bodies, sleep isn’t so much a luxury as a necessity.

Now, blessings light on him that first invented this same sleep! It covers a man all over, thoughts and all, like a cloak; it is meat for the hungry, drink for the thirsty, heat for the cold, and cold for the hot. It is the current coin that purchases all the pleasures of the world cheap, and the balance that sets the king and the shepherd, the fool and the wise man, even.

Insightful quotes and captivating photos! Now I understand why I’m hibernating during quarantine. 🙂

These photographs are so beautiful and moving. They remind me of an old song in my country (Brazil) that says “Remember that sleep is sacred and feeds with horizons your awaken time”

Reminds me of the Sonnet by Sir Phillip Sydney – “Come sleep ! O sleep, certain knot of peace”.
The moments captured so beautifully and so natural and certainly peaceful .

A life without dream is like a bird who can’t fly. Each and every image of the series is phenomenal. Am immersed in your priceless and timeless creation. ❤🙏🏻❤

A beautiful set of intimate moments – sleep is normally so private it’s almost shocking to see someone asleep in public. I’ve felt rude when I’ve taken photographs of those sleeping, yet these pictures are tender, respectful, almost a celebration of the universal, restorative gifts of sleep and dreams.

Follow your dreams, they know the way. (Kobe Yamada) You, Sir, followed your dream, photografy, and you are the demonstration that dreams can become our life if we believe in them.

Pretty amazing images, I don’t know if I could actually sleep in some of those situations!
