Sail Away

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed
by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do…

…so throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor.  Catch the trade winds in your sails.

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began,
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Steve! You’re an epitome of art. Your photography is on another level, from portraits to landscape photography. I wish I had an eye for photography like you. Thank you for sharing your photos.

I realized these photos show not only a place but also a time. In some cases, a time that does not exist any more. For example, the photos from Kolkata and West Bengal, Dacca to Peshawar shows trains and train routes that no longer exist.

1985~I literally begged a Calcutta bookseller to part with an older NG,which had Your Indian Railway journey photos-I still have IT~An Ardent Admirer of Your Lens Vision till today 2020. GOD BLESS YOU with Healthy long life.

While there is debate whether Twain actually penned that phrase, there is no debate that your photography launched a thousand ships, setting so many off on their adventures. Thanks for your contributions to the human record.
